INTRODUCTION

A Grab Pneumatic Ship Unloader is a dual-mechanism bulk unloading system that combines a heavy-duty mechanical grab bucket for high-volume primary discharge with a pneumatic suction system for residual hold cleanup and fine bulk handling. Mounted on a quay-side rail or stationary tower, it efficiently transfers dry bulk cargoes—such as grain, cement, alumina, and fertilizer—from bulk carriers directly to shore-side conveyor networks.

APPLICATION SCENARIO

  • Grain & Agricultural Terminals: Dust-free, low-damage unloading of wheat, corn, soybeans, and animal feed from bulk carriers directly into onshore silos.

  • Cement & Powder Terminals: Unloading fly ash, cement, alumina powder, and chemical fertilizers through fully sealed vacuum pipelines.

  • Multi-Purpose Bulk Ports: Handling mixed bulk shipments (coarse minerals via grab + fine powders via pneumatic nozzle) at a single berth.

ADVANTAGES

  • Dual-Material Handling: Effortlessly switches between heavy bulk via mechanical grabs and delicate/dusty powders via vacuum pneumatic suction.

  • Dust-Free & Eco-Friendly: Pneumatic negative-pressure conveyance completely encloses fine materials, eliminating dust spillage and cargo loss at the dock.

  • High Hold-Cleaning Efficiency: Suction nozzles reach tight corners, hatches, and bottom layers of ship holds, drastically reducing manual hold cleanup time.
